研究活動と目的

“AEN” has been organized by the several researchers who were interested in the biological effect of low dose radiation and reconstruction of the farm, farers and farming to overcome against the nuclear plant disaster. This scientific works will uncover the truth underlying the benefits of the integration of scientific data concerning the reconstruction. These will for surely benefits for the future unexpected disaster of the nuclear plants which are believed to be safe, and contribute to judging the border or margin of radiation safety based on these low dose research on farm animals.

Purpose

  • Feeding based on livestock welfare The best management while livestock impacted by the nuclear accident are alive
  • Livestock rehabilitation - Fukushima Restoration Disseminating messages, bridging the gap between government and farmers
  • Research activities - Collection of scientific data Collecting and publishing information to create a stronger academic base

For the livestock bred and managed at the 12 livestock farms within a 20km radius of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, we conduct the improvement in quality of life (QoL) for the cattle while working to minimize radiation exposure to the cattle and the livestock farmers. We provide needed feed and veterinary care while also conducting research activities involving the impact on the cattle and contamination/decontamination.

Livestock×Farmland×Revitalization For a healthy society Collection and research of usefulscientific data Situational analysis Research on impact of radiation on biological entities and farmland Bridge to the restoration Use cattle as labor animals Together with breeders Helping restore farmer pride as cattle growers and heading toward restoration and revitalization Livestock welfare Every effort to prevent deaths from starvation and illness Improving QoL Veterinary care

Operations

General Incorporated Association,The Society for Animal Refugee & Environment post Nuclear Disaster at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station of Tokyo Electric Power Company conducts the intensive breeding of the cattle for the purpose of contributing to research activities by improving the breeding environment of affected cattle as follows.

1.Research related to the impact and weakening of radioactive substances on livestock 2.Research of behavior, physiology, and procreation of livestock affected by the nuclear accident 3.Research related to the management of farmland used for livestock affected by the nuclear accident 4.Support of research and the collection and provision of information related to the above 5.Projects ancillary to the above projects
